And let's not forget the incredible hacks and recipes that air fryers have introduced to the home kitchen.

On that note, there's a dessert doing the rounds on TikTok that's guaranteed to make your taste buds do the happy dance. Kitchen whiz Mel Melbourne's recipe for easy-as air fried cinnamon doughnuts with Nutella uses just a few basic ingredients and takes less than 10 minutes. Got your air fryer ready? Let's go.

Mel shares her method for the easy air fryer recipe in a straightforward 37-second video, first preparing shaker pancake mix according to the instructions on the back of the bottle.

She then goes on to add a silicon tray to the air fryer and fill each mould with pancake mix to the halfway mark, to allow the doughnuts to expand when cooking.

While they're in the air fryer, Mel mixes together a tablespoon of caster sugar and a teaspoon-and-a-half of cinnamon, to make a cinnamon sugar blend.

"Once they're cooked, take them out and coat them in cinnamon sugar," she instructs, "I serve with fresh strawberries and Nutella." Yep, it's that simple.

The TikTok community jumped right on board, with some followers suggesting delicious upgrades to the recipe.

"Put a layer of Nutella in there in the middle, then when you bite into it, gooey Nutella comes out," responded one user.

Another wondered if a slice of banana inside could make the recipe even better. Looks like the possibilities are endless with this one.
