Adele unrecognisable in slinky dress after 20kg weight loss

A TV star has called Adele unrecognisable after she bumped into her at an Oscars party, where the star showed off the results of her incredible 20kg weight loss.

The 31-year-old Someone Like You singer looked stunning in a high-neck long-sleeved Ralph and Russo leopard print dress as she partied at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles.

Adele was attending Jay Z and Beyonce’s Oscars party when she bumped into Polish presenter Kinga Rusin, who took to her Instagram to wax lyrical about the experience.

According to Kinga, Adele struck up a conversation with her, after she noticed that the host wasn’t wearing the slippers provided at the door, preferring to keep her heels on instead.

“Honestly, I didn’t recognise her because she is so thin now,” Kinga wrote.

Kinga went on to say that there were about 200 people at the party and while there was a photo ban, she managed to get an exemption when she got this selfie with Adele.

Guests entered the party through the kitchen to avoid being photographed and partying until the small hours.

Kinga said her conversation with Adele led nicely into a chat with Rihanna, a dance off with Jay Z and a boogie with Leonardo Di Caprio.

The Kardashians kept to themselves, according to Kinga, but Travis Scott took to the mic with Puff Daddy and really got the party going.

Adele unrecognisable after weight loss

On Christmas Eve, Adele shocked fans when she shared a photo showing her looking almost unrecognisable in a snap from a recent party.

She showed off her slimmed-down figure in a satin black gown and had her blonde hair in bouncy curls, cutting a glamorous figure alongside the Grinch and Santa Clause.

“We both tried to ruin Christmas but then both our hearts grew! Thank you for coming to my party and making us feel like kids Grinch. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays everyone,” she captioned the two black and white snaps.

Her fans were so taken by her transformation they left comments of ‘beautiful’ and ‘stunning’ on the images. While some also took to Twitter to share them, even admitting they had initially confused her with with American Horror Story actress Sarah Paulson.

“Is it you Adele or woah?” one person commented.

Then, in January, Adele took some well-earned time off in Anguilla in the Caribbean with fellow British celebrities, Harry Styles and James Corden.

Photos from Adele’s trip showed the singer looking relaxed and happy as she sat on the beach, laughing and joking with friends.

However, after a plethora of tweets online claimed the star looks “too skinny”, Adele’s fans hit back, calling for people to stop complaining and to let the singer live.

“First Adele was too fat, now she is too skinny. Seriously people, get a life and let her (and everyone else) live,” one person tweeted.

Adele claims reformer pilates is to thank for her weight loss

Apparently, Adele has a “new lease of life” since starting reformer pilates with her friend, Ayda Field.

In the words of Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde, “exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy” and Adele has certainly looked happy again, after the heartache of her split from her husband back in April.
