Adele confirms split from husband

International superstar Adele has called it quits with hubby Simon Konecki.

In a statement to the Associated Press released yesterday, the singer’s representatives confirmed the shock separation, highlighting the couples commitment to protecting their son.

“Adele and her partner have separated,” the statement read.

“They are committed to raising their son together lovingly. As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.”

The 15-time Grammy winner has always been notoriously private about her relationship, only confirming she had actually wed husband Konecki in a 2017 acceptance speech at the awards.

The British star may have kept tight lipped about her personal life but shared a touching tribute to her little family at the time.

“My manager, my husband and my son – you’re the reason I do it,” she said.

The couple welcomed their son Angelo in 2012, and are suspected to have been together for at least six years.

Konecki is best known as the co-founder of eco-friendly bottled water brand Life Water, which helps charities fund clean water in developing nations.

Coming on the heels of reports of Michelle William’s divorce this morning, it looks like break up season is underway in Hollywood.
