Adele continues to shock fans with her incredible weight loss, sharing a photo of her trim figure on Instagram to celebrate her birthday.
The singer, who turned 32 yesterday, first debuted her new look at rapper Drake’s birthday party in October last year.
“Thank you for the birthday love. I hope you’re all staying safe and sane during this crazy time,” she wrote alongside the snap.
She also took a moment to pay tribute to those working on the frontline during the global coronavirus pandemic.
“I’d like to thank all of our first responders and essential workers who are keeping us safe while risking their lives! You are truly our angels. 2020 okay bye thanks.”
Fans were quick to praise the singer for her birthday look, that featured a little black dress, and her hair straightened.
“Wow you look amazing,” one fan commented.
“Gorgeous,” another wrote.
Adele unrecognisable after weight loss
The star was almost unrecognisable when she first showed off her weight loss online.
Her fans were so taken by her transformation at Christmas, where she donned a satin black gown and had her blonde hair in bouncy curls, comments flooded in, with some even admitting they had initially confused her with with American Horror Story actress Sarah Paulson.
Adele claims reformer pilates is to thank for her weight loss
Adele revealed she had “new lease of life” since starting reformer pilates with her friend, Ayda Field.
In the words of Reese Witherspoon in Legally Blonde, “exercise gives you endorphins, endorphins make you happy” and Adele has certainly looked happy again, after the heartache of her split from her husband back in April 2019.
If you haven’t come across reformer pilates before, it’s pilates 2.0 and involves a bed-like machine to increase the resistance of the workout.
“Adele has been out enjoying herself and she sees that as her priority at the moment, along with being a mum to Angelo,” a source told The Sun at the time.
“It’s a bonus that she has shifted some weight. Her mates are glad she’s letting loose and there’s nothing but good feelings towards her. She’s got a new lease of life.”
