Adam Levine’s shock unearthed confession amid affair claims

Adam Levine's thoughts on monogamy have been revealed in an unearthed interview with the Maroon 5 frontman five years before he married wife Behati Prinsloo.

The singer, who is at the centre of a huge cheating scandal, with numerous women coming forward, has insisted in a statement on Instagram that he has never cheated on his wife, but "crossed the line".

Now, a 2009 interview with Cosmopolitan has gone viral after Adam was asked the question, "Why do guys cheat?"

"Instinctively, monogamy is not in our genetic makeup," he told the magazine at the time. "People cheat. I have cheated. And you know what? There is nothing worse than the feeling of doing it."

The singer previously claimed in a 2012 Details interview that he enjoyed a "promiscuous" phase, blaming his desire to sleep with many women on the fact he "loved them so much".

However, when he began dating Behati, it seemed as though that behaviour was behind him, with the pair welcoming two daughters Dusty Rose, five, and Gin, three. They currently have another on the way.

It comes after Instagram model Sumner Stroh first came forward this week, claiming in a TikTok that she and Adam had an affair that lasted for about a year when she was "young and naive".

The TikToker shared screenshots of the ‘flirtatious messages’ she had exchanged with Adam, before saying they lost touch for ‘a period of months’.

However, she decided to share the story because the singer came back into her life with a strange request.

Adam allegedly sent a message asking if he could name his third child after the Instagram model.

“Ok serious question. I’m having another baby and if it’s [a] boy I really wanna name it Sumner. You ok with that? DEAD serious,” he asked, according to her screenshot.

After Sumner's allegations, three other women, including Adam's former yoga teacher, came forward with their own allegations.

Alanna Zabel, who trained the star from 2007 to 2010, claimed in an Instagram post that Adam told her he wanted "to spend the day with [her] naked", bragging to his friends that she had "the best a** in town".

The yoga teacher alleges that her then-boyfriend flew into a fit of rage when he saw the message and became violent, despite Alanna never actually engaging in a relationship with the singer.

She then accused Adam of abandoning her when she told him what happened, taking her off his upcoming tour.

Adam previously told Women's Health magazine in 2008 that he loved yoga for its health benefits, adding, "But let's face it, I only practice yoga because the classes are always packed with beautiful women."

Alanna's allegations come after comedian Maryka and a woman named Alyson Rose also shared screenshots of their alleged Instagram conversations with Adam.

Maryka shared messages of Adam allegedly complimenting her figure and saying, "Distract yourself by f***ing with me!"

In another message, he tells her, "I'm obsessed with you."

In a since-deleted TikTok, Alyson Rose shared screenshots of Adam's alleged messages to her with one reading, "I should be talking to you you know [that] right?"

Alyson claimed more was said but she "didn't feel comfortable posting everything".

Behati has remained tight-lipped on the allegations so far.
