Abbie doesn’t win The Bachelor according to co-star Emma Roche

She’s the controversial contestant who’s tipped to win Matt Agnew’s heart but if you ask those closest to the former child star, it appears that Abbie Chatfield, 23, doesn’t end up snagging her man.

Speaking exclusively to Yahoo Lifestyle, recently eliminated bachelorette Emma Roche, 32, reveals that while Abbie and the astrophysicist share a strong sexual connection, it’s not quite enough to get her the final rose.

Emma’s pick to win The Bachelor

While the Irish-born, Sydney-based fashion brand manager admits it’s “really difficult to tell” which of the top three women will win The Bachelor, she does have her picks.

“[Matt] obviously has a connection with everybody. I’d probably put it down to between Chelsie and Helena,” she reveals.

As for Abbie, Emma doesn’t think she’ll go the distance with Matt, 32.

“He clearly has feelings for her, they’re spending a lot of time together, they’re pashing on. It’s hard to tell but I think that there might be that little bit more of a spark with the other two,” she explains.

Helena’s ‘sh*tty’ move

We saw the typically cheery Emma’s feisty side come out in her final rose ceremony after ex-beauty queen Helena’s shock request to chat with Matt outside.

“Helena did a shitty thing,” the brunette beauty was heard saying as she was whisked away from the mansion in a limo.

“I was pretty shocked when [Helena] pulled him out of the rose ceremony room,” she says.

She “It wasn’t just me, we were all pretty surprised. Look, watching her hometown and her having a meltdown I can understand why she was so eager to talk to him but “

“I still think that... the rose ceremony room, you don’t pull someone out of it. [You should] clear the air at hometowns, that’s what it’s for,” she says.

In Emma’s opinion, Matt went to such lengths to ensure the Mauritius-born beauty remained in the competition because “he has genuine feelings for her and wants to explore that”.

“He’s the Bachelor, he can do what he wants. If he thinks she’s worth fighting for then fair enough,” she states.

Emma’s new love

Emma reveals to Yahoo Lifestyle that true story behind the photos Woman's Day obtained of her “cosying up to a handsome gentleman”.

“He’s my friend, honestly these paps are ridiculous!” she exclaims, putting any post-Bachelor romances to bed.

“He’s literally just a buddy of mine and we went in for a cuddle and the paps managed to get that cuddle, unfortunately,” she said of the pics which were taken a four-hour drive outside of Sydney.

“I’m still very much single, so if you know someone send them my way!” she laughs.

Emma does have something new in her life, however, in the form of a brand new ‘do.

“I just fancied a change,” she says of her refreshed locks, which feature a sweeping fringe - and she has her fellow bachelorettes to thank for the new look.

“A couple of people in the mansion said I’d look good with a fringe... so I thought why not, let’s go for it!” she says.

The Bachelor airs 7.30 Wednesday and Thursday on 10 and 10 play.
