Abbie Chatfield details 'worst' moment in Bachelor mansion: 'I'm crying'

Abbie Chatfield has revealed the ‘worst’ moment from her time on The Bachelor.

Speaking on her podcast, It’s A Lot, the 26-year-old detailed the mortifying memory from season seven of the dating show that still gives her ‘goosebumps’.

“I repressed this memory from The Bachelor, she admitted. “Yes, a lot of bad things happened in that house, but this is the worst.”

Abbie told her followers that private audio of her crying about her ex-boyfriend was accidentally played on a speaker in the Bachelor mansion.

The story was brought up when Abbie discussed using the Notes app and voice memos on her phone to document her previous relationships.

“I actually one time did a voice memo, it was really embarrassing. Poor Angie Kent has heard this,” she began.

“It’s so sad, it’s not even funny. It’s me talking to myself about how sad I am about my ex because we had just broken up again for the fifteen millionth time… It’s tragic, it’s literally me sobbing.”

The reality TV star went on to say that she brought an iPod into the Bachelor mansion because you’re not allowed to have a phone and she wanted to listen to podcasts.

Abbie also used the iPod to play music with the girls before the cocktail parties started, but she didn’t realise that her voice memos had also transferred from her phone.

“We had a little stereo system and we put my iPod just on shuffle, and one time this voice note came on throughout the entire mansion,” she confessed.

“I heard the start of it and I recognised it and ran and changed it.”

Unfortunately for the Nova podcast host, the embarrassment followed her after filming had wrapped when Angie Kent also heard the voice memo.

Abbie accidentally left the iPod in the mansion, so the production crew gave it to Angie when she started filming The Bachelorette a week later because she had forgotten to bring her own.

While the two are friends now and share the same management, Abbie says she had a very awkward first encounter with Angie at a Channel 10 party because of the iPod.

“Obviously that time, my season had just finished airing. I’m still starstruck by someone who works in PR for Channel 10, let alone the Bachelorette,” she said.

After speaking with Angie about her season of the dating show, which hadn’t started airing yet, the Bachelorette star mentioned that she had listened to Abbie’s voice memo.

“I cut her off and I was like like, ‘Oh my god, yeah that was so random. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what you’re talking about’,” Abbie remarked.

Since her time on The Bachelor in 2019, Abbie has had a number of successful ventures.

In 2021 alone she was crowned the winner of I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!, launched her collaboration with Vush in April, and more recently teamed up with Feminaè Beverage Co for her own gin.

At the end of July, she is also scheduled to make an appearance at the Melbourne Podcast Festival.
