90 Day Fiancés Michael Ilesanmi and Angela Deem have had a rocky relationship over the years, and Michael is now opening up about reaching his breaking point.

The reality TV personality, 35, sat down with Entertainment Tonight to discuss his life in the United States and what led to the incident in February where Angela, 58, reported him missing. He explained that he didn’t feel like he could live with Angela any longer, so he decided to leave.

“The reason why I left Angie's house is because — it’s very very sad — I wasn't treated like I'm her husband,” Michael said. “I was treated like I'm just a nobody. Every day we fight.”

He continued: "It's a lot for me to leave, for me to have left. It had gotten to the point [where] I couldn't just bear it anymore."

Although he didn’t say where exactly he went, Michael clarified that there are no rideshare services in the area he was in and he did not have another woman in his life, contrary to what Angela believed.

“All I’ll say is this — I suffered,” he said.

When he first came to the States, Michael said life wasn’t what he expected it to be.

"I thought when I got here things would be better for us," he noted. "But I was wrong, you know? Things got worse when I got here."

He said the couple “never had sex” and Angela was “always monitoring me, checking my phone," despite him telling her he "blocked" the woman she had caught him cheating with.

“I was just treated so badly by her,” he added. “Whenever she's upset, she can do whatever she wants. I don't want any issue, I don't want any bad record of my name, so I tend to keep it cool. Sometimes when she's very upset, she makes me feel scared.”

Michael also told the outlet he felt Angela “took advantage” of his calm demeanor and the fact that he was coming from another country after a seven-year wait. As fans have seen, she has even gotten physical at times.

“The show didn't change her, she wants to be that way,” he continued.

Thinking back to Angela finding his group chat of Nigerian men looking for U.S. greencards, Michael said he was simply trying to find support for others also moving.

"It's like an attack on the part of where we come from,” he shared. “It's what people believe, but it is not it. If I actually scammed her for a green card, I would have left a long time ago."

Now that he is finally in America, Michael revealed he doesn’t know what his plans for the future are. Because he has spent so much time on the hit TLC franchise, he said his options are up in the air at the moment.

"I'll take advantage of, I mean, me being popular, and If I get an offer from the network or any other activity or any other show I'll grab it," he admitted. "I mean, I've been on TV for the past six years, and I think I'm used to it now.”

He concluded, “I'm working on something — I don't want to put my head in one basket, so that's all I will say."
