'7 Little Johnstons' Liz's Young Siblings Test Their Babysitting Skills on Niece Leighton (Exclusive Clip)

As dedicated viewers of 7 Little Johnstons know, Season 15 kicked off earlier this month with a focus on the way that the loving family is adapting to having a baby around the house.

In a clip from an upcoming episode that TLC shared exclusively with Parade, Liz Johnston challenged her younger siblings to test out their babysitting skills by watching Leighton, her first child with Brice Bolden, born in November 2023.

In a group confessional with sisters Anna and Emma, Liz admitted that she was feeling “a little bit nervous” about leaving her daughter in her sisters’ care. “We’ll see how Aunt Anna and Em do with Leighton while I’m gone for the next hour,” she said, adding that “hopefully things will be OK.”

As the clip continued, Anna and Emma were shown bottle feeding Leighton. “Now she’s already picking her head up—slowly,” Anna observed. “Next thing you know, you’re going to be walking!”

Emma seemed excited by the idea as she predicted that having a mobile Leighton would be “fun.”

“She’s gonna be crazy. Just like us!” Emma said.

While the initial bottle feeding appeared to go well, the sisters ran into trouble when Leighton began crying. After first trying to burp the baby, Anna put her back down and tried again with the bottle, which Leighton rejected. Anna and Emma then worked together on a second burping attempt.

The clip ended with a group confessional in which Anna and Emma were joined by their brothers, Alex and Jonah. When they were asked which strategies they would try to soothe a crying Leighton, each sibling provided their own answers.

“Give her a pacifier, see if that calms her down,” Alex said. He later added that he would also check the baby’s diaper to see if it needed changing.

“I’ll definitely feed her, because I know she’s probably hungry,” Emma said.

“If she’s, like, laying down, I would pick her up,” Anna volunteered.

“I just turn on the Golf Channel and she stops. Every single time,” Jonah said, a joke that elicited a smile and a shake of the head from Emma.
