2025 SAG Awards nominations live presentation canceled amid L.A. wildfires 'in an abundance of caution'
Cooper Koch and Joey King were set to reveal the 2025 SAG Awards nominees live on Netflix's YouTube channel.
The live stream of the 2025 SAG Awards nominations announcement has been canceled as Los Angeles battles wildfires sweeping the area.
Set to be presented Wednesday morning by Monsters actor Cooper Koch and A Family Affair's Joey King via Netflix's YouTube channel, the nominations announcement will not move forward as planned.
"In an abundance of caution for the safety of our presenters, guests, and staff, the live in-person 31st Annual SAG Awards nominations announcement has been cancelled due to the wildfires and adverse wind conditions in Los Angeles," reads an overnight press release from SAG representatives. "Nominees will be unveiled tomorrow at 7:30 a.m. PT via press release and the SAG Awards website. We look forward to celebrating these incredible actors and their work at the SAG Awards ceremony on February 23."
The statement concludes with a message for those impacted: "In the meantime, we urge everyone to stay safe, and thank you for your continued support."
The fires have forced around 30,000 people to evacuate in the general L.A. area, particularly in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood north of the city.

"My community and possibly my home is on fire. My family is safe. Many of my friends will lose their homes. Many other communities as well," Oscar-winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis wrote of the fires Wednesday on Instagram, later adding: "We ALL take everything for granted because we are all living our lives but when it hits your community, it's particularly shocking. Life on life's terms. If ever there was need for the use of the phrase MY HAND IN YOURS, it is right now. Take care of each other. Stay out of the way and let the firefighters do their work. Pray if you believe in it and even if you don't, pray for those who do."
The Hills alum Spencer Pratt also shared a video to TikTok showing live footage of the fires to his followers.
