The 2024 Emmys Cast Reunions That Made Us Laugh (and Tear Up a Little)
From 'Schitt's Creek' to 'Modern Family,' the 2024 Emmy Awards were sprinkled with cute cast reunions
TV's biggest night served as the perfect time for a few cast reunions at the 76th Primetime Emmy Awards.
From Eugene and Dan Levy reuniting with their Schitt's Creek family to Modern Family's Sofia Vergara and Jesse Tyler Ferguson's quick selfie during a break in the show to Diego Luna and Gabriel García Bernal meeting each other on the red carpet, stars took a moment to celebrate and greet with their TV families.
Check out all the biggest TV show and movie cast reunions that happened at the 2024 Emmy Awards.
'The West Wing'
Martin Sheen, Dulé Hill, Janel Moloney, Richard Schiff and Allison Janney took us back to the Jed Bartlet administration and reminded viewers to vote. (As a reminder, though, Jed Bartlet is not a candidate this year.)
'Schitt's Creek'
Everything's coming up Roses! Cohost Eugene Levy and his TV wife Catherine O'Hara were pictured having a laugh with their Schitt's Creek "bebes" Annie Murphy and Dan Levy.
'Modern Family'
The Modern Family is famously tight, so it comes as no surprise that Sofia Vergara was caught in this candid moment trying to snap a quick selfie with her former costar Jesse Tyler Ferguson and his husband Justin Mikita.
'Reba'
The jury is still out on whether or not we will ever get a Reba reboot, but Melissa Peterman and Reba McEntire staged a mini-reunion while on the Emmys red carpet. The pair, who are working together again in the upcoming NBC sitcom Happy's Place, also presented an award for outstanding scripted variety series later in the show.
'Happy Days'
Happy Days actors Ron Howard and Henry Winkler were on deck to celebrate two major milestones for their hit show: it premiered 50 years ago this year, in January 1974, and aired its final episode 40 years ago, in July 1984. (And yes, Howard convinced Winkler to have a Fonzie moment.)
'Y Tu Mamá También'
Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna starred in the coming-of-age film Y Tu Mamá También back in 2001. Now 45 and 44, respectively, the two stars make it hard to believe almost a quarter-century has passed since then.
'Big Little Lies'
Big Little Lies is on a big little hiatus at the moment, but stars Reese Witherspoon and Laura Dern are clearly still in sync. The longtime friends coordinated in chic black ensembles at they reunited on the carpet.
'Miami Vice'
Jimmy Smits is known for his role in NYPD Blue, but for his character segment — which featured Niecy Nash-Betts and Don Johnson as well-known TV cops — Smits was quick to remind us all that he too was on Miami Vice back in the day ... if only for a few seconds before his car blew up.
