It’s a great time to be Sienna Miller. Everyone's favourite champagne-bubble blonde is enjoying a career renaissance – a Siennaissance, if you will – with five films out this year, not to mention a coveted role as a jury member at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

And, just in case you needed another reason to love her, Miller is using her fresh acclaim to speak out about the place of women in the film industry.

For Miller, it’s a matter of affirming feminism at the forefront of everyone’s minds, both inside and outside the world of Hollywood.

“I’m actually increasingly aware of the lack of equality in our industry and all over the world in every industry and almost every walk of life,” Miller told New York Magazine’s The Cut in Cannes.

“But I do feel like the last year has been very important for women.”

“The conversation is happening on a much larger scale and on a world stage, and I feel like it’s time to make a stand in terms of equal pay… And whether it’s the #HeForShe campaign or, in America, potentially a female president, things are moving the right way!”

In the same article, Miller was praised by the publication for the refreshing image she presented of modern feminism.

“Who’s to say that working motherhood has to involve toil and suffering, or that having it all (yes, terrible phrase) can’t come on the French Riviera with a glass of Champagne in hand?” the blog asked, sharing a picture of Miller with daughter Marlowe during Cannes.

Keep speaking up, Sienna. Hollywood needs to hear this.
