It seems David and Victoria Beckham’s influence in the fashion industry extends to their children, with son Brooklyn making his modelling debut this week.

The 15-year old appears on the cover of the latest edition of UK magazine, Man About Town, and is also featured in a 20-page fashion editorial celebrating teenage style.

“We could not have wished for a stronger subject than Brooklyn to bring this story to life,” said Man About Town Editor-in-Chief Ben Reardon. “He was a diligent, relaxed cover star for his first ever fashion shoot.

“The story was a genuine pleasure for all involved. Brooklyn was a true professional and had a keen eye in the styling process, collaborating on selections from designers including Ralph Lauren, Saint Laurent and Supreme.”

While the Beckham boys reportedly get “lots of offers”, it’s said that Victoria and David are notoriously protective of their kids.

“David and Victoria are immensely proud of all their children, and they never push them into anything even though the boys get lots of offers,” a source told the Daily Mail.

“Brooklyn is focused on school and soccer, but of course he was so excited to get his first magazine cover shoot as he's interested in photography like his dad.

“The photo shoot was shot over a weekend and all the family went along to support Brooklyn.”

Reardon added that Brooklyn was a testament to the Beckham name.

“It is clear that he is becoming a credit to the family name, not only possibly the most famous in the world but one with a wealth of heavyweight fashion influence behind it.”

Brooklyn follows in the footsteps of his younger brother Romeo, 11, who appeared alongside Cara Delevingne in a campaign for Burberry in 2012. While it was a risk using such a young model, the brand’s Creative Director, Christopher Bailey, said Beckham had impeccable taste. “Romeo loves fashion, completely loves it,” explained Bailey at the time. “He had a real opinion; he was so involved in what he was wearing."

Add to that David Beckham’s many modelling campaigns and Victoria’s fruitful fashion line and you have one very successful family.

"For the first time, my three boys went to my show in February,” Victoria told France's Madame Figaro magazine last month. “It was interesting to show them that their dad works, but their mum works too. That we split responsibilities at home and both have our own careers. It's a positive message. I think they like fashion. Although Brooklyn was mostly impressed with the models!”

But, the designer added, just because they lead a privileged lifestyle, doesn’t mean they get everything they ask for.

“We always tell them how lucky they are,” said Victoria. “We’re much more normal than people think.”
