Can you believe it's been 8 years since the last season of New Girl? Yeah, us either! That's why it was so refreshing to see former co-stars, Zooey Deschanel and Max Greenfield have a mini reunion at this year's SAG Awards (and poke a little fun at their other New Girl co-star Lamorne Morris).

At Sunday's award show, Zooey and Max took to the stage to present the award for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series. The two looked very dapper in matching black-and-white outfits as Max started off by complimenting his former co-star. "Man, Zooey, I gotta say, this, this, this is wild. I can't believe this. You look amazing."

The two went on to reminisce about wrapping up filming of their hit sitcom show almost 8 years ago, but they made sure to throw a little playful shade at their co-star who played Winston and his recent accomplishments.

"Remember Lamorne?" Zooey asked. "Have you talked to or seen Lamorne?" Max jokingly responded with an eye roll saying, "It's been challenging since...well, you know—the Emmy." "Oh, I thought you were going to say Men's Fitness," Zooey replied, referring to his recent shocking transformation that was featured in the health magazine last year. "No, that too, but so happy for Lamorne," Max sarcastically joked.

Of course, the sarcastic skit was all in good fun. In real life the New Girl co-stars were super supportive of Lamorne's success. Zooey even left a comment saying "So proud of you!!!!" on her co-star's post after sharing his recent Emmy win on Instagram.

Fans of the show loved seeing the two co-stars together again and instantly ran to the comment section to leave messages like, "It’s a crime that it’s been 8 years without any new episodes 😭," "Miss them soooo much!!!," and "This year NEEDED THIS."

New Girl ran on Fox for seven seasons from 2011 to 2018. It quickly became a fan favorite as it showed the life of Jessica "Jess" Day as she navigated life and living in a loft with three other men after a harsh breakup. The sitcom also starred Jake Johnson, Hannah Simone, and Damon Wayans Jr. with countless surprise guest stars, including Prince and Taylor Swift. Needless to say, even after 8 years, we still love seeing the crew back together.
