I’m currently home for the holidays—home being Minnesota, where whatever you think you’ve heard about the state’s weather is probably true. It’s freezing here, so I’ve spent the days in cashmere sweaters and my trusty Ugg boots; meanwhile, I’m daydreaming about wearing everything Zoë Saldaña just wore on the red carpet. It’s sunny! It’s bohemian! It’s sexy!

The actress was photographed attending the Golden Globes First-Time Nominee Celebration in Beverly Hills, and to say her look was Cali-boho perfection would be a serious understatement. She opted for a frilly yellow wrap-style dress with ruffles from the neck to the high-low hemline. It was slightly sheer, but not too much, proving the naked trend is here to stay. But the real winning styling element? Her shoes-and-tights combo.

Saldaña paired her sunny yellow dress with shoes I can’t even think about this time of year—or  maybe I can? She slipped into strappy black heels that are a no-brainer in the warm-weather months, but in the wintertime? Unheard of! The style puts your bare feet on full display, but the actress served up the perfect style trick that’s also super sexy: sexy, sheer tights. Smart and stylish? I’ll try that!

So many celebs seem to be favoring the winter staple this time of year—and rightly so, seeing as the small-but-mighty accessory offers much-needed leg coverage when it’s too cold for exposed skin.
