Zoë Kravitz is proving that there’s no bad blood between her and Channing Tatum as she broke her silence on where she stands with her ex-fiancé four months post-split. While the pair called off their engagement last October, the filmmaker told Elle that she’s “grateful” for her time with Tatum while lauding both his professional and personal qualities in a cover story published Tuesday, February 24.

The Batman actress immediately squashed speculation that their breakup impacted how she felt about their film Blink Twice, which she directed and starred in. “Not at all. I love this thing that we made together, and I care for him very much," she told the publication about her former flame. Kravitz also had plenty of good things to say about the Magic Mike alum’s talent as an actor, as she continued, "Even when you bring up how great his performance is, it warms my heart to hear that, and I’m so happy that all of it happened."

"I just feel so grateful that we got to go on that journey together," she added. The star also revealed that she was still her ex’s biggest professional cheerleader, as she opened up about how excited she'd been for Tatum to take on his role as tech billionaire Slater King–a character that’s very different from what he’s played in the past.

“For Chan specifically, it was about how exciting it would be to see him do something so different and so surprising, and something that I knew he was so capable of,” she told the publication.

While the pair might not be romantically involved anymore, Kravitz said she’d be cheering on her ex from the sidelines as Tatum continues to move forward in his career. “He has so much more coming, and I think he’s in a place as an actor where he’s feeling really confident and people are seeing different sides of him,” she shared. “He’s got a lot to offer, so I’m excited for people to keep witnessing that.”

Both Kravitz and Tatum haven’t spoken on the reason for their breakup, which happened just a few months after the release of Blink Twice, but a source previously told People that the pair ultimately wanted different things.

"They haven’t been on the same page and grew apart," they shared. Another source reiterated this to Page Six while also revealing that the former couple had parted on friendly terms after three years together.

“There was no dramatic falling out between Channing and Zoë. They really just grew apart and decided it was best for them to go their separate ways,” the insider shared, emphasizing that there was “no bad blood” as they split.

Revealing that the pair was “still in touch,” they explained that both Tatum and Kravitz “handled the breakup very maturely,” but “came to a mutual realization that they were better off friends than romantic partners.”
