Zendaya And Tom Holland’s “Spider-Man” Costar Marisa Tomei Shared A Sweet Post Congratulating Them Amid Reports That They’re Engaged
It looks like congratulations are in order for Zendaya and Tom Holland!
According to People, the couple — who have been linked romantically since 2021 — are engaged.
Zendaya and Tom first met back in 2016 when they were cast in the first of Jon Watts's Spider-Man films together.
Years later, the pair — who play Peter Parker and Michelle “MJ” Jones in the fan-favorite movies — confirmed that their onscreen romance was also an offscreen one after they were photographed kissing in Tom’s car.
And while they tend to keep their relationship private, Tom and Zendaya haven’t shied away from mentioning each other in interviews and sharing sweet Instagram tributes to each other over the years.
This week, speculation that Zendaya and Tom were engaged reached an all-time high after the Challengers star flaunted a huge diamond ring on her left ring finger at the 2025 Golden Globes, which took place Sunday night.
What’s more, Zendaya apparently “smiled coyly and shrugged her shoulders mysteriously” when asked if she was engaged by an LA Times reporter who spotted her eye-catching ring.
Now, People reports that a source close to the couple has confirmed their engagement.
The insider purportedly told the outlet that “everyone close to [Tom and Zendaya] knew an engagement was happening,” and that Tom had been eager to propose “for a while.”
“He's always been crazy about her. He always knew she was the one. They have something very special,” the source said, adding that they “won't rush a wedding” as they’re both “busy with work projects.”
While neither Tom nor Zendaya have publicly addressed their reported engagement yet, their Spider-Man costar Marisa Tomei has since shared a sweet Instagram post congratulating the pair.
Marisa, who plays Aunt May, shared a photo of Zendaya and Tom to her Instagram stories and wrote, “Congrats you two, xoxo.”
BuzzFeed has reached out to Zendaya and Tom’s reps for comment.
