‘The Young & The Restless’: When To Expect The Return Of Lauralee Bell

EXCLUSIVE: Genoa City is about to welcome back one of its most popular residents.

Lauralee Bell’s Christine — who was last seen on The Young and the Restless during a New Year’s Eve party that aired on Jan. 2 — is set to return to the show’s set at the end of April. Her return episodes will start airing in early June.

Her character’s absence was due to her joining Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) on the road during his world tour. In real life, Damian needed time away to produce a movie for Netflix.

But Bell didn’t stray far from the Bell Dramatic Serial Company world; she made a stop to the set of The Bold and the Beautiful for her third crossover appearance. And this time, her participation involves one of the sudser’s signature fashion shows.

Those episodes are set to air April 24, 25, and 28.

“You never know when Brad Bell calls, if I’m going to be asked a [sibling] question or if I can come to B&B for a couple of days,” Bell tells Deadline about her brother, who is the head writer and executive producer of B&B. “He established this collaboration. Years ago I represented Ridge [Ron Moss] on a court case, and then several months ago, Danny and Christine stopped in during the summer because we’re on tour and he’s the rock star. And then they used Danny’s music for a Brooke’s bedroom lingerie line. So the tie-in continues!”

“We’ve been super lucky because so many of our Y&R fans who have rooting for Danny and Christine to be back together after 30 years came to watch B&B for those couple of days,” Bell continued about her second crossover with B&B, which aired in August. “We assume everyone who watches Y&R watches B&B, but for the few that didn’t, we got Y&R people to come to watch B&B. Our audience really showed up.”

Bell says she continues to be blown away by fan reaction to her character’s reconciliation with Danny in early 2024 after their divorce 30 years ago.

“It’s incredible what we’ve learned this time around,” says Bell. “We have these very vocal, very energetic, very creative fans who are posting stuff every day. They’ll do a countdown that we’re going to be on in 14 days, 13 days, all these creative things. These are fans from the ’80s and ’90s. They’re so into it. And then we’re realizing, they are the ones that had Michael’s poster up in their bedroom and they are the ones that went to real Michael Damian concerts when they were teenagers and college students. And now here they are, they’re in their ’50s and ’60s and they’re saying things like, we’ve waited for this moment for 30 years.”

“There was a little hiccup when we started getting back together with Phyllis, but now Phyllis is leaving us alone,” Bell continued. “We are together. We are happily touring the world. I dropped everything legal to join him on this worldwide tour, and we’ll come back to Genoa City in April to start taping again. There’s still so much more to say and there’s still so much more story to go.”
