'You look 30!': Padma Lakshmi wows in 50th birthday bikini snap
Top Chef star Padma Lakshmi is celebrating her 50th birthday with an age-defiant declaration that ‘50 is the new 30’ and it seems her fans couldn’t agree more.
The TV host took to social media on Thursday to share a series of dazzling beach snaps to celebrate the milestone.
Frolicking in the waves in a pink string bikini, the host declared: “50 is the new 30, feel like I’m just getting started.”
Originally shared to Twitter the TV star shared another screenshot to Instagram, and proudly declared it a ‘photoshop free zone’.
Showing off her toned physique and incredibly youthful looks, the Taste the Nation star left fans absolutely gobsmacked over the photos, prompting thousands of comments wishing her many happy returns, and asking her to share her youth potion.
“You look absolutely smashing,” one marvelled. “Nobody can say you turned 50. Amazing.”
“You are not 50!” one fan wrote in disbelief. “Whaaaat?”
“Well you certainly look 30,” another marvelled.
Others hoped they could learn a trick or two from the beauty.
“I’ll have what she’s having!” one onlooker joked.
“Oh wow, goals,” declared another. “Happy birthday.”

Others just couldn’t wrap their head around what seemed like a whole time warp.
“Ok this is insane,” the wrote.
For one, it was time to crown a new queen of 50, bumping current crowd favourite J-Lo from the throne.
“She’s out here looking even better than J-Lo at 50!” they wrote.
Padma is best known for work hosting cooking show Top Chef for which she won an Emmy in 2009.
