Pic is set at a struggling New York dive bar in the days leading up to Christmas, 2019. Its protagonist, Chet (White), is a beleaguered bartender in a state of extended arrested development, who must balance taking care of his misanthropic, aging regulars — who have nowhere else to go, and rely on him for far more than pouring drinks — with his naive desires to muster some Christmas spirit.

Leo Winters (Hold to Dash) wrote the script, and the project is jointly produced by Brenden Hubbard’s Bearly There Media and Volerich’s Misprint Film. White, Volerich, and Winters exec produced.

Recently finishing his series run as Jimmy Hurdstrom on Taylor Sheridan’s Yellowstone, which ran for five seasons, White is otherwise best known for his roles in critically acclaimed films such as Alex Garland’s Civil War, Eileen, and God’s Country as well as television appearances including Jordan Peele’s Twilight Zone, Evil, The Alienist, Invasion and The Americans. The actor will next be seen leading the thriller, Bonding, as well as in his own feature directorial debut, Caravan.

Volerich is perhaps best known for his David Lynch- inspired weekly film history podcast, Eye of the Duck, which he co-created and co-hosts with Dominick Nero, the Webby Award-winning editor with whom he cut Drink and Be Merry.

White is repped by Gersh, Principal Entertainment LA, and Lichter, Grossman, Nichols; Hogan by Framework Entertainment; Zucker by Gersh, Odenkirk Provissiero Entertainment, and Hansen, Jacobson, Teller; Newman by CAA and Circle Management; Williams by Harden Curtis Kristen Riley Agency, Bohemia Group, and Brady, Brannon & Rich Talent; Smith by Gersh and Jeff Goldberg Management;  Wilson by G&G Talent; Morgan by Firestarter Entertainment, Model Club and Talent Express; Christensen by CAA and Yorn, Levine, Barnes; and Wortmann by Rosier Artist Management.
