A registered cardiac nurse from Florida, US, has been dubbed the 'world's sexiest nurse' thanks to her sizzling snaps on social media, and the millions who follow her.

Lauren Drain has over 3.7 million followers on Instagram, and when she's not helping save lives, she's working as a fitness model and sharing photos of her fit body.

The 31-year-old, who has been working in the health industry for quite a few years, says she's keen to encourage others to be healthy, in more ways than one.

After eight years of working in hospitals and attending to patients' needs, she decided to allocate some of her focus to getting fit and healthy herself.

"I wanted to be a healthy, fit, strong, confident woman, actively preventing disease instead of treating everything with pills and medication," she tells The Sun.

"I wanted to change my life for the better and I wanted to help others before they lost control of their health too."

Earlier this week she wrote on Instagram: "Feeling so thankful to represent the nursing community & I hope my message that seeking strength & fitness is the key to health, happiness & good aesthetics".

She indeed looks in fine form in her snaps on Instagram, and by the amount of 'likes' she's been attracting, Lauren's surely motivating many of her fans to incorporate a little more exercise into their regimes.
