If you’re a fan of cheese and Christmas, then this news will sound like music to your ears, because Woolworths is releasing a cheese advent calendar.
While they have changed which brand is the face of the advent calendar this year, going for Thomas Dux instead of last year’s Aurora, people will no doubt be rushing out to get their hands on this delicious festive treat.
The cheese advent calendar was a standout buy of Christmas 2020 and sold out in 2019.

For $20, the advent calendar contains a range of 12 portions of six different cheeses from around the world and will be available from October 27th.
That includes 2x Double Gloucester Cheese with Spring Onions & Chives, 2x Cheddar Cheese with Black Pepper, Double Gloucester Cheese, 2x Mature Cheddar Cheese, 2x Red Leicester Cheese and 2x Cheddar Cheese with Chilli.
“Woolworths has a large and exciting Christmas range on the way, but our cheese advent calendars are one of our most popular Christmas products we sell during festive season, so we’re thrilled to bring them back to help customers count down the days to Christmas,” Woolworths Commercial Director, Chilled, Jason McQuaid, said.
“Our Thomas Dux cheeses have proven to be popular with customers who enjoy hosting and entertaining, so we’re excited to also roll out a wider range of new Thomas Dux products like dips, salami, and antipasto.”
The cheese advent calendar is just one item from Woolworths' exciting new range of Christmas items.
Last week, the supermarket chain announced its 2021 Gold Christmas dessert range with plum puddings, fruit mince tarts, shortbread and slices hitting shelves across the country.
This year, Woolworths has added an Aussie twist to some classic favourites including a four pack of individual meringues infused with native lemon myrtle from the Northern Rivers region of NSW.
There’s also a chocolate pudding made with fruits soaked in Hunter Valley shiraz and Aussie dark chocolate, and white chocolate and macadamia tarts made with Murray River salt flakes and Australian honey and macadamias.
Later this month, Woolworths will be adding a 20-piece packet of mini desserts to the collection that will inject a little extra elegance to parties without breaking the budget.
For $25 you get five mini lemon meringue tarts, five chocolate ganache and raspberry tarts, five tiny cherry cheesecakes and five white chocolate, honey and macadamia cheesecake slices.
