Women Are Like "Yesss, Thank You" After Kamala Harris Pointed Out "Women Are Not Aspiring To Be Humble"

Ahead of the 2024 election, Vice President Kamala Harris sat down with host Alex Cooper on the Call Her Daddy podcast, and WOW, it's causing a stir.

While there are several key standout moments, one specific part of the exchange is going absolutely viral — and that's when Cooper asked Harris her thoughts on a comment made by Gov. Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

You see, last month, when speaking at a town hall in Flint, Michigan, former White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said her biological children "keep [her] humble," before quipping, "Unfortunately, Kamala Harris doesn’t have anything keeping her humble."

During the recent Call Her Daddy episode, Cooper commented on the "fixation" people have with biological children this election season, as well as "women that have children versus women who don't have children." She asked Harris, "I saw the governor of Arkansas said, 'My kids keep me humble. Unfortunately, Kamala Harris doesn't have anything keeping her humble.' How did that make you feel?"

To which Harris responded, "I don't think [Sanders] understands that there are a whole lot of women out here who, one, are not aspiring to be humble; two, a whole lot of women out here who have a lot of love in their life, family in their life, and children in their life."

"One of the things that I have really enjoyed about where the discussion has gone — one of the places it's gone. We have our family by blood, and then we have our family by love, and I have both. And I consider it to be a real blessing."

"I have two beautiful children, Cole and Ella, who call me Mamala," she continued. "They are my children, and I love those kids to death, and family comes in many forms. And I think that, increasingly, all of us understand that this is not the 1950s anymore."

Harris's quote about women not aspiring to be humble rang online — especially considering they came from the mouth of the first female Vice President of the United States in history.

Other women chimed in online, praising Harris for asserting that women can own their power. One person wrote, "When you think of words to describe me start with Resilient. Passionate. Exuberant. Peculiar. Unstoppable... (Humble is one you can leave out.)"

Meanwhile, it's important to point out that the jab at Sanders isn't the only reason why this moment went viral. Others also pointed out how disparaging Sanders's viewpoint that centers biological families can be.

One person wrote, "Republicans do such a disservice to kids who lost their parents to death and had to be raised by an Aunt or an Uncle or grandparents--to say there is only one type of familial love is cruel and out of touch."
