Carol Han Pyle claims she has the same engagement ring as Zendaya on TikTok

When Zendaya slyly revealed her engagement to Tom Holland at the 2025 Golden Globes, Carol Han Pyle was unaware of the buzz at first. But after friends at work were talking about it, she "immediately" Googled the huge moment — only for her to discover something truly surprising.

Following the awards show, where Zendaya, 28, was nominated for her role in Challengers, Carol posted a TikTok video in which she compares her engagement ring to that of the actress’ glittering stone, which she believes to be almost the “exact same” one as hers.

“Not mad about it at all. Love being twinsies with Zendaya.” she said in the clip, which has garnered over 100K views and has the cheeky headline "when Zendaya copies your engagement ring."

“I definitely did a double-take and then got really excited because I’ve always loved her style,” Carol, founder of fragrance company, Nette, and lifestyle digital agency, Community Atelier, tells PEOPLE exclusively.

In 2017, Carol’s husband Nicholas Pyle proposed with a diamond ring from Jessica McCormack, a renowned jeweler based in London. Her gorgeous rock features an east-west cushion-cut diamond weighing a “little under three carats.”

Meanwhile, Zendaya’s appears to be the Jessica McCormack 5.02ct East-West Cushion Diamond Button Back Ring, available to shop under the brand's engagement ring collection.

While that has yet to be confirmed (representatives for Zendaya, Holland and the brand did not immediately respond to PEOPLE's request for comment), a giveaway for Carol was the “distinctive” button back setting, which is a Jessica McCormack signature.

The only difference is that Carol’s ring has side bumpers. She explains that the original was set on a “very simple” rose gold band that her husband intentionally picked out knowing that she’d want to customize her new bling.

“Jessica McCormack’s team is amazing and made the process so fun,” Carol says. “They’re the ones who suggested adding the little bumpers to the band for that little extra detail. I was living in New York City [at the time] and they didn’t have a presence here, so I literally FedExed them my stone and they went to work on it. I gasped when I got it back. It was so stunning.”

Carol and Nicholas also got their wedding bands made and personalized by Jessica McCormack.

"Mine is a diamond eternity band with one sapphire in it symbolizing September, the month we got married. His is a white gold band with a hidden internal aquamarine, symbolizing March, my birth month," she shares.

Since their 2018 nuptials in the Catskills, Carol hasn’t modified her ring — "It's perfect," she says — but she is looking to resize it as her ring finger went up a size after her pregnancy (hence why it's videoed on her pinky in her TikTok video).

“I’ve loved Jessica McCormack for so long! I discovered her work around 2016 or 2017, when she was less known, more insider. I was spending a lot of time in London because my now-husband lived there at the time and I would just wander into her townhouse in Mayfair and browse all the jewels and art. It’s such a special place,” says Carol, referring to the label’s six-story townhouse, which features a workshop for artisans, a library and artfully displayed diamonds.

In addition to her wedding band and engagement ring, Carol owns a few pairs of diamond hoop earrings from the Gypset collection. “I never take them off. They have the absolute best cost per wear out of anything else I own.”

Jewelry designer Jessica McCormack founded her eponymous brand in 2008 with a mission to create pieces with her “signature blend of timelessness and modernity.”

In the 17 years since, it’s become a beloved brand among Hollywood’s coolest It girls such as Margot Robbie, Meghan Markle, Victoria Beckham and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley. Zoë Kravitz was named Jessica McCormack’s first ambassador in May 2024.

“There’s something so classic and timeless yet cool about her pieces,” says Carol. “JM has such a crystal-clear point of view. It’s hard to find a jewelry designer that’s so distinctive and sure in what she’s trying to say. She also makes the most comfortable pieces to wear. There’s something about those button backs that just wear so nicely.”

She adds of the designer: “I think she’s going to become even more of a household name. It’s been so exciting to see her growth almost from the beginning and I can’t wait to see where the brand goes next.”
