Here’s the official logline: “The film follows Blake (Abbott), a San Francisco husband and father, who inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his own father vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Garner), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matilda Firth). But as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognizable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without.

In the trailer, the family survives a brutal car crash, but Abbott’s Blake is attacked by an unseen monster. Slowly, he becomes infected, grows claws and hair and is unable to communicate with his wife. In the final moments of the trailer, the full Wolf Man look can briefly be seen as Abbott lunges at his wife, who attempts to flee in a truck.

“Wolf Man” is directed by Leigh Whannell, the “Saw” co-creator who also helmed the 2020 horror hit “The Invisible Man,” which grossed $144 million at the global box office. Jason Blum is producing the film, a Blumhouse and Motel Movies production, while Ryan Gosling (initially attached to star), Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers.
