More than 30 years after Winona Ryder and Keanu Reeves made Bram Stoker's Dracula together, the pair still like to call each other husband and wife.

While Ryder, 52, promoted her movie Beetlejuice Beetlejuice on an episode of the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actress said she and Reeves, 60, jokingly refer to each other as spouses when they text each other.

The pair previously said they may be technically married after they filmed a wedding scene for the 1992 horror movie with real priests who delivered a full ceremony.

"We always say who it is even though it says it on the text," Ryder said, while speaking to her friendship with Reeves. "So he's always like— like, on his birthday, I'll write 'Happy birthday, my husband,' and I put 'Noni,' and he's like, 'Hey, wife, love you! KR57,' like on each birthday, he's like 'KR57,' or whatever his age is, and he's always done that. He's the best."

Ryder was asked by the podcast's host Josh Horowitz if she has ever considered appearing in Reeves' John Wick movies.

"If it involved a lot of stunts, I'm, like, thinking of my bones," she said with a laugh. "Oh my God, I would literally do anything with him though. He is so special."

Reeves and Ryder played Jonathan Harker and Mina Murray in director Francis Ford Coppola's Dracula movie, based on the classic vampire novel.

Ryder previously said she and Reeves actually got married while filming the wedding scene when she told Entertainment Weekly in 2018 that the movie “used a real Romanian priest” to perform an entire wedding ceremony.

"We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests. Winona says we are," Reeves later told Esquire in 2021. "Coppola says we are. So I guess we're married under the eyes of God."

Ryder's Happy Sad Confused podcast is not the first time she and Reeves (who also starred together in the 2018 film Destination Wedding) have spoken about playing up their apparent marriage. When Reeves appeared on The Talk in 2019, he said Ryder occasionally refers to him as "husband."

"Once in a while, I will get a text: 'Hello, husband,' " he said at the time. "I didn't really believe her, and then Francis Ford Coppola, the director of Dracula, contacted Winona and said publicly that, yeah, that really happened, the priest did a full ceremony and Winona and I got married."

Ryder is currently with longtime partner Scott Mackinlay Hahn, while Reeves is dating girlfriend Alexandra Grant.

Beetlejuice Beetlejuice is in theaters Sept. 6.
