Who Will Win 'RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars' Season 9? Premiere Power Rankings

RuPaul's Drag Race

And we're back! RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars has returned for Season 9 and eight of our favorite queens from seasons past have re-entered the Werk Room to fight for $200,000. Only this time instead of taking home the prize themselves, they'll be competing for charity AND no one is going home.

However, each episode the queens will be competing for Benefactress Badges with the three queens who collect the most badges competing for the crown in the season's finale.

Which brings us to the question: Who will win Season 9 of RuPaul's Drag Race All Stars?

To that end, I've put together a ranking of the eight queens competing on this season, ordered from least likely to most likely to be inducted into the Drag Race Hall of Fame. It's a power ranking if you will, and while there are supposed spoilers on dark corners of the internet, I haven't read any of them. This ranking is also based on how likely the queen is to WIN the competition, not just go far, and takes into consideration everything that took place in the season's first two episodes.

8. Vanessa Vanjie Mateo

Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 0
Not Cut Off

If we're "going by track record" Miss Vanjie is currently tied for last with Shannel, Roxxxy Andrews and Nina West. Of those four, however, I thin Vanjie has her work cut out for her a bit. She has never won a challenge over two seasons, and if we learned anything from All Stars 7, it was that having highly specialized skills like Jinkx Monsoon helped more than being good at everything like Shea Coulee. Miss Vanjie will certainly bring a lot of humor to the season, but I'm not sure I can see her finishing in the top two in enough of these challenges to take the crown.

7. Shannel

Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 0
Not Cut Off

Shannel is certainly the dark horse of the competition. We haven't seen her compete since All Stars 1 and it remains to be seen exactly what she's learned in her decade off. She did well in both of the first two challenges, but ala Shea Coulee, I think we could see her doing generally well at everything and never quite snatching those wins.

6. Roxxxy Andrews

Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 0
Not Cut Off

I LOVE Roxxxy Andrews, and she seems to be in a great place mentally for All Stars 9. Her reading challenge win also reminds us how funny she is capable of being. I think that she'll be a force in the upcoming acting challenges and that could earn her some Badges. She's also the only finalist from her original season who hasn't won a crown, so she's in excellent company.

5. Nina West

Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 0
Not Cut Off

If we're looking back to All Stars 7, the queen with the profile most similar to Jinkx Monsoon is comedy queen Nina West. The first two episodes definitely showcased Nina's weak spots (dancing and fashion), but presumably she'll begin to excel as soon as the comedy challenges emerge AND no one else on the cast is driving in Nina's lane. I think she'll easily be able to snatch a few Badges as the season progresses and could have a shot to win.

4. Plastique Tiara

Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 1
Not Cut Off

Of the four current Badge holders, I think Plastique is going to have the most difficult time winning. While her comedy has certainly improved since her original season, I just can't see her holding her own in any of the performance-based challenges against the likes of Roxxxy, Nina, Angeria or Gottmik. Plastique's fashion sense is exquisite, her makeup skills are unmatched and her social media prowess is legendary. Unfortunately, being an incredible drag queen outside of Drag Race doesn't always mean you'll excel on the show, and I'm just not sure that Plastique has the right skill set to win here.

3. Jorgeous

Wins: 0
Benefactress Badges: 1
Not Cut Off

Of all the queens returning for All Stars, Jorgeous seems to have undergone the biggest transformation. In her original season, the dancing queen came across as timid and unsure of herself. Those inhibitions seem to have disappeared in the years since. If she's able to shine in the comedy challenges, she could breeze past her competitors. After all Ru has said time and again she's born for drag.

2. Angeria Paris VanMichaels

Wins: 1
Benefactress Badges: 1
Cut Off

Angeria came into All Stars 9 as a bit of an underdog given her mostly pageant background on Season 14. However, she's already proven that she can do a lot more than walk and wave. Winning the music challenge and beating Jorgeous in a lip sync solidified her as a legitimate competitor and her ball looks were stronger than expected. Angeria seems like she could win just about any challenge that is thrown her way and that's formidable.

1. Gottmik

Wins: 1
Benefactress Badges: 1
Not Cut Off

The queen to beat so far is Gottmik. She is unmatched when it comes to fashion sense, as she proved in the ball, and unlike many other fashion queens, she also has a strong sense of humor and point of view. Her weak spot is clearly dancing and she managed to get through the musical challenge well enough and even won her lip sync against Plastique. If I was another queen on All Stars 9, I would be cutting off Mik as much as possible.
