Pints and pickleball go hand-in-hand in Michelob Ultra’s Super Bowl spot.
On Wednesday, Jan. 22, the beer brand released a 15-second ad teasing the competitive commercial with Willem Dafoe, Catherine O'Hara , New York Liberty star Sabrina Ionescu, Olympic shot put and discus gold medalist Ryan Crouser and NFL legend Randy Moss. The full minute-long spot, which will air during Super Bowl LIX on Sunday, Feb. 9, will pit Hollywood’s elite against professional athletes on a pickleball court and the teaser gives a glimpse into the chaos that will ensue.

Even Moss and Ionescu — adorned in matching T-shirts that read “San Marco Pro v. Pro Pickleball Jamboree 2025” — look slightly shaken at whatever is out of frame. Something (or somebody) causes Crouser to throw his paddle at the net in frustration.

The only people in the clip who seem unperturbed are Dafoe and O’Hara. The Nosferatu actor and Beetlejuice Beetlejuice actress (wearing the same charm bracelet as the mystery arm seen earlier in the ad) clink their pints of beer as the Super Bowl LIX date pops up on the screen.

Super Bowl LIX will be held on Sunday, Feb. 9, at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. The teams in the 2025 Super Bowl will be determined during the AFC and NFC championship games on Sunday, Jan. 26. The Kansas City Chiefs will face the Buffalo Bills and the Philadelphia Eagles will play against the Washington Commanders to decide which two teams will make it to New Orleans
