Why William 'can't completely forgive' Harry: 'Very difficult'
Prince William "can't completely forgive" Prince Harry for "what he's done", a royal expert has claimed, adding that the future king isn't ready to reconcile.
Katie Nicholl, author of The New Royals: Queen Elizabeth’s Legacy and the Future of the Crown, has claimed that the brothers' feud is due to Harry stepping down from the royal family in 2020 as the main reason William can't forgive his brother.
"[When Harry stepped back from his royal duties], it was very difficult for William, and I think that’s partly why this rift hasn’t been resolved, because, you know, William can’t completely forgive Harry for what he’s done," the author told Us Weekly.

Royal expert's wild claim about 'tortured' Prince Harry: 'No way back'
"It had a huge impact on him, on [Princess] Catherine, on their young family. It put them in that prime sort of centre. It moved them centre stage far sooner than they would otherwise have been.
"… I think William had always expected that he would have the support of his brother. And I think it wasn’t just that Harry had chosen to leave and to stand down. I think a lot of it was how he chose to do that and what William saw as great disrespect to the institution and to his, to his family, to his grandmother."
Ms Nicholl has also previously claimed the Queen was "exhausted" by her grandsons' feud.
"She was exhausted by it all, she realised there was nothing more she could do to forge a reconciliation between William and Harry," she wrote in her book in an excerpt shared by Vanity Fair.
"It is terribly sad that the twilight years of her reign, when she should have been enjoying her time, spending time with her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren was really marred by this awful family rift, which, let’s be honest, doesn’t look like it’s got any chance of being healed."
It's believed that rift between Harry and William first began in 2017, before the Duke of Sussex was married to Meghan Markle.
Harry reportedly hinted to William that he planned to propose, with the older brother saying, "Why rush things?"
"Who the hell do you think you are?" Harry reportedly shot back.
When Harry and Meghan sat down for their bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey, the brothers' relationship hit a new low.
There was some hope for reconciliation when the brothers and their wives teamed up for a joint appearance after the Queen's death, where they met with mourners in London.
