Shock reason Harry snubbed William's peacemaking meeting

Prince Harry reportedly snubbed his brother Prince William's attempts at healing their rift back in 2019.

William is said to have become worried about Harry and his wife Meghan Markle after they gave a bombshell interview to ITV during a tour of South Africa in 2019.

During the interview, Meghan told ITV's Tom Bradby that she was struggling to cope during pregnancy and the early stages of motherhood with the pressures of the media interest in her life as a member of the royal family.

She tells Bradby she's "really not OK" during the interview and admits that it's "really been a struggle" to get through.

According to the new book Courtiers: the Hidden Power Behind the Crown by Times reporter Valentine Low, William allegedly recognised the Sussexes "were in crisis" and attempted to set up a meeting.

The book makes a series of allegations about Harry and Meghan during their time as working royals before stepping down in 2020.

Low claims Harry turned down the meeting after finding out William's private secretary would be made aware of the meeting to fit it into the Prince's diary.

Apparently, Harry was so "concerned" William's team would leak the visit to the press that he decided against meeting with him in case the story made it into the press.

Low claims the move left the royal family heartbroken, adding that the brothers no longer communicated privately and instead spoke through official channels.
