Why Machine Gun Kelly and Megan Fox Skipped the 2025 Grammy Awards
It was a little surprising when Machine Gun Kelly and his then-fiancée Megan Fox did not make an appearance at the 2024 Grammy Awards, but I don't think anyone was surprised not to see these two at the 2025 Grammys on Sunday. If you've been following along, then you know Megan is currently expecting her fourth child (reportedly due in March)...plus, she and MGK aren't on the best terms right now. There's also the fact that MGK's last studio album, Mainstream Sellout, was released back in 2022, so he wasn't up for any awards this year, anyway.
TMZ first broke the news of MGK and Megan's breakup in December 2024, claiming the two had gone their separate ways over Thanksgiving weekend. Since then, things have only gone from messy to messier, to say the least. The latest update: TMZ reported on January 28 that the exes were no longer on speaking terms (though MGK seemingly denied those rumors in an Instagram post).
The last time we saw the former couple at the Grammys together was back in 2023, where MGK lost Best Rock Album to Ozzy Osbourne's Patient Number 9 (womp) but engaged in plenty of PDA with Megan. NGL, I miss it!
It at least seems like we can expect new music from MGK soon...or, you know, eventually. In November, he took to X to write, "Isolating myself in the desert next week to restart this album from scratch. When inspiration flows through me unblocked, we will reach the destination in no time. Don’t worry. After all, I'm about to be a dad again!"

after all, im about to be a dad again!— mgk (@machinegunkelly) November 25, 2024
The musician wrote that message pre-breakup, so things might have changed, but if not...maybe see him at the 2026 Grammys??
