Whoopi Goldberg and Ana Navarro got into a rare squabble with each other on The View over collective American "panic" as the clock winds down on the country's transition from Joe Biden's presidency to Donald Trump's.

As the Oscar-winning Ghost actress attempted Monday morning to soothe rising anxieties over Trump's second inauguration, Navarro cut in to voice staunch opposition to Goldberg's position.

"All we have to do from now until Jan. 21 is be with our families, be with our kids, do our jobs, make sure our checks don't bounce, make sure that we are taking care of ourselves and our families. Whatever he's going to do, he's going to do," Goldberg said, prompting Navarro to reiterate her disapproval.

"I told you last week I disagree with you when you say that, because we have the luxury of saying that because we're legal, we're successful," Navarro observed. "If you're an illegal immigrant in this country, you're not going to be not in a panic. If you're a woman working for the Department of Defense, you have a right to be in a panic."

Goldberg lost her patience, with the show's theme music playing as she was supposed to throw the show to a commercial break, but she pushed back on Navarro's words instead.

"Ana, you tell people to stay fraught and like this," the 69-year-old said while waving her arms in the air. "No, I'm telling people to prepare, Whoopi," Navarro responded.

Goldberg stressed that she felt Americans are fully prepared for a second Trump presidency, with Navarro later doubling down on her thought that the ladies of The View shouldn't dismiss others' concerns over Trump's rise to power.

"My point to you is we are in a privileged position that a lot of people who are going to be under his attack are not," Navarro said, with Goldberg again clapping back that she has "a family who is going through the same thing" as the people at the center of Navarro's point.

"I'm on his enemy list and I'm not panicking. We just have to live. You have to live, this is the United States of America!" conservative cohost — and former Trump White House staffer — Alyssa Farah Griffin added, agreeing with Goldberg.

"We don't know what we're panicking for. They're throwing 50,000 things at you to make you [panic]. I'm saying don't buy into that. Do what you have to do, take care of your family. And when we know what is happening, when we know what we're fighting, we'll get out and fight. That's what I'm saying," Goldberg reiterated, before turning to an off-camera crew member to ask, "Would you like us to stop?"

The show eventually cut to an ad, and returned for another Hot Topics discussion about Trump's political merchandise.

Since Trump won the Nov. 5 election against Vice President Kamala Harris, The View has seen several of its cohosts engage in heated on-air clashes regarding issues related to America's voting patterns, with Griffin sparring several times with legal expert and former prosecutor Sunny Hostin, while Goldberg and interview guest Charlamagne Tha God even got into a debate on the Dec. 9 broadcast — though that clash ended with a sweet hug at the table.

The View airs weekdays at 11 a.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on ABC.
