Michelle Bridges: 'My whole life has changed"

It's a sunny Wednesday afternoon in Sydney's Woollahra and Michelle Bridges is resting in a cane chair, staring at her then 9-week old son Axel, who is asleep in his grandmother's arms.

Bridges, 45, has just wrapped WHO's photoshoot and is no rush to leave.

"The old me would have left this shoot straight away to get to my next work appointment," a slightly-sleep deprived Bridges says. "But the truth of the matter is I just want to hang out with Axel. I don't want to do emails or work or meetings. Even my training, it's a bit hit and miss at the moment, which is fine."

It's a remarkable about-face but the successful businesswoman and author of Make It Happen: Live Your Best Life, who concedes she was "never fixated" on becoming a mother. But since her son to partner Steve "The Commando" Willis came along in December, he's changed everything.
