We're just days away until the 90 minute long The White Lotus season three finale and we've been spending a bit (read: the majority) of our time trawling the internet for the best The White Lotus ending theories and honestly, we've found one about the Ratliff family that makes so much sense. Many fans have theorised there was a big clue in episode one that suggested the fate of the entire family.
If you cast your mind back to episode one, we saw the Ratliff family: dad Timothy (Jason Isaacs), mum Victoria (Parker Posey), oldest son Saxon (Patrick Schwarzenegger), middle child Piper (Sarah Catherine Hook) and youngest child Lochlan (Sam Nivola) turn up to their luxury villa within The White Lotus resort.
They're all jet-lagged and just want to chill out, but they have an introduction with one of the hotel staff members Pam (Morgana O'Reilly) who warns Saxon off eating the fruit found on the trees around their villa.
She says: "We have a lot of amazing fruit here, but I wouldn't eat that. That is the fruit of the mighty pong-pong tree and the seeds of the fruit are toxic."
Saxon then asks if the fruit could kill you, which Pam says yes it could and it's "very poisonous".
Many fans are now theorising that Timothy Ratliff will make smoothies, using his son's beloved protein shake blender, and put the fruit in it to kill himself and/or his entire family.
If you've been paying attention this season, you'll know that Timothy is under intense investigation due to a financial deal gone wrong back home and has been toying with the idea of killing his family and himself, due to the pressure of what this could do to all of them.
And now fans think that rather than using the gun, which he stole from Gaitok, who has now taken it back, he'll use a dangerous drink to end the family's lives.
One fan theorised on X (formerly known as Twitter): "My White Lotus theory is that the dad is going to poison his family’s dinner with the fruit and they will all die. The body in the water is either Mook or Gaitok. Prob Gaitok after he confronts the employee who’s with the robbers."
While another said: "I just want yall to know that in White Lotus the Finale that Lochlan is going to d*e. My theory is the dad makes a smoothie with the fruit, Lochlan in an effort to appease his brother drinks the 'protein shake' - even though it wasn’t for him."
And another added: "The White Lotus: There's only one dead person this season and it looks like it's going to be Tim with the poisonous fruit shake. Rick is going to dump Chelsea and she'll end up with Saxon? wtf mike white
This theory makes even more sense once you watch the trailer for the finale episode, which sees Timothy ask Pam about the fruit, who again emphasises its danger saying: "Locals call it the suicide tree, so don't eat it."
