Piper Rockelle rose to YouTube fame thanks to her infamous “Squad.”

Made up of other tween content creators, the unofficial inner circle was allegedly created by Rockelle’s mom, Tiffany Smith, to help boost her daughter’s channel. Smith’s then-boyfriend, Hunter Hill, told the Los Angeles Times that he modeled "The Squad" (also known as the “Piper Squad”) after Jake Paul’s live-in content house Team 10.

The group included Sawyer Sharbino, Corinne Joy, Sophie Fergi, Claire RockSmith (who is also Rockelle’s cousin), Symonne Harrison, Gavin Magnus, Hayden Haas and Walker Bryant, as well as a rotating ensemble of other YouTubers like Reagan Beast.

While on-screen, the group racked up views for their elaborate pranks, challenges and orchestrated drama, but the dynamic off-screen grew concerning for the young creators’ parents. One by one, they started to pull their kids out of "The Squad" and filed complaints against Smith with organizations like the Department of Children and Family Services and the FBI, per the Los Angeles Times.

The situation escalated in January 2022 when 11 former members filed a $22 million lawsuit against Smith and Hill for allegedly inflicting emotional, verbal, physical and sexual abuse. The circumstances of their claims — which included allegations of Smith touching plaintiffs inappropriately — are detailed in Netflix’s 2025 docuseries Bad Influence: The Dark Side of Kidfluencing.

Rockelle, Smith and Hill have all denied the allegations, and the case was settled outside of court in 2024 for $1.85 million.

So, where are "The Squad" members now? Here’s everything to know about what happened to Piper Rockelle’s infamous YouTube group.

Sharbino told the Los Angeles Times that he had over 1.26 million subscribers on his YouTube channel when he was a part of "The Squad." But when he left in 2021, his following and earnings allegedly dropped.

In the lawsuit, many former members accused Hill of purposefully sabotaging their accounts with bots, a tactic the video editor has denied.

Ahead of his appearance in Bad Influence, Sharbino wrote on Instagram that he was “so proud” of his friends for speaking out. “They’re truly the strongest people I know and my heart goes out to them rn,” he captioned a video of himself in an airport.

Sharbino is still active on Instagram and has shifted his career from content creation to music.

Joy left "The Squad" in 2019 after she allegedly witnessed inappropriate behavior and claimed she was sexually harassed by Smith.

In the lawsuit, Joy alleged that Rockelle’s mom suggested she perform oral sex on Hill (Joy was 11 at the time) and witnessed Smith mail “several of Piper’s soiled training bras and panties to an unknown individual.” Smith denied the claims.

Fergi was not only a part of Rockelle’s Squad, she was also her roommate. The tween content creator and her mom, Heather Nichole, moved in with Rockelle, Smith and Hill in Los Angeles so they could create more content together.

In Bad Influence, Fergi said she was reluctant to live with the now-disgraced momager because she thought she “wasn’t stable.”

Nichole and her daughter left the house — and subsequently, "The Squad" — in 2020 after Smith allegedly found texts between them discussing how they wished to “adopt Piper and leave.”

Fergi is still active on Instagram and co-hosts the online talk show GIRL TALK.

On April 10, she posted about how she felt sharing her side of the story in Bad Influence. "I never knew if I would ever be able to talk on the situation and I am so proud of everyone who spoke up, little Sophie would be so happy to know that her story got out," she wrote.

RockSmith, who is also Rockelle’s cousin, left "The Squad" in 2021.

She’s still an active content creator and most recently starred in the YouTube series WHO’S CLAIRE. In March 2025, she revealed on Instagram that her interview in the Netflix docuseries would be the first time she talked about what she’s “gone through on social media in specifics.”

“Netflix documentary comes out April 9th,” the content creator captioned an Instagram Reel. “It’s time you finally knew. Everything.” Like Fergi, after the docuseries was released, RockSmith shared her gratitude for the reception of the show.

"After years of being silenced, constantly degraded and hated on the amount of support has been absolutely overwhelming," she wrote on Instagram.

Magnus left "The Squad" in 2019, though he appeared in a few of Rockelle’s videos years later. He’s still an active content creator as well as a rapper.

The musician has released several singles and one album since 2018, and Rockelle was featured in his 2021 music video for his song “Crushin'. ”

Multiple members alleged in Bad Influence that Smith had a concerning interest in Magnus (who was rumored to be dating her daughter).

Though he was not interviewed, the docuseries did show an explanation Magnus had previously shared on his Instagram Stories for leaving "The Squad." In it, Magnus said he was glad his parents pulled him out of the “toxic environment.”

Bryant left "The Squad" in 2021. His mother, Jennifer Bryant, later claimed to the Los Angeles Times that Smith would often fabricate crushes between the kids.

“That’s [Tiffany’s] moneymaker,” her then 16-year-old son also alleged. “Anything crush-related, or boyfriend-girlfriend related.”

Walker was not interviewed for Bad Influence and has since stepped away from his YouTube channel. He is still active on Instagram, where he mostly shares videos of his workouts.

Hayden Haas

Though he wasn’t interviewed on Bad Influence, he did share the trailer for the docuseries on Threads in April 2025 and wrote, “my childhood memories #bittersweet.”
