What to wear to a wedding

Weddings are a great excuse to get dressed up and to enjoy a free glass of wine.

When it comes to picking the perfect outfit, you never want to upstage the bride, but you do want to look fiercely stylish alongside your friends.

It can get a little tricky when you realise all of your nice dresses are not suited for a conservative church wedding.

If you're still confused when shopping for the perfect ceremony outfit, Anna James from laurenconrad.com said be sure to remember these key rules:

- Avoid white

- When in doubt, overdress. A too-formal dress will always be more forgivable than a pair of skinny jean

- Stay away from distracting colours

Good luck, and happy shopping!
