What John Krasinski really told Emily Blunt during viral exchange at the Golden Globes
Fans believe the star told his wife, "I can't wait for a divorce."
Social media users have been having a meltdown after it appeared as though John Krasinski told Emily Blunt he "can't wait for a divorce" at the Golden Globes on Sunday, but a lip reader has revealed what they believe the star really said.
In the now-viral footage, fans believed John said, "I can't wait for a divorce," but MailOnline's lip reader believes he actually noted that photographers were waiting for them.
They shared that Emily appeared to turn to John and say, "It's a bit chilly, John, right," before he laughed and said, "They're waiting for us."
Emily adds, "Yeah," and John says to someone off-camera, "You alright?"
The clip ends with Emily asking, "Should we..."

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman also told the website that the word 'divorce' was never mentioned by John.
Fans have also done their fair share of guessing with one user writing, "You can hear her say, 'It’s actually kinda chilly right now.' And he responds, 'I can’t wait to get indoors.'"
"I think he said, 'I can't wait FOR THE AWARDS'," another said.
"Emily - 'It’s so windy,' John - 'I can’t wait to be indoors. Seriously'," a third suggested.
"He said, 'I can’t wait to get through this'," someone else wrote.
"Why would he say divorce with all those cameras and microphones on them?" one fan questioned.
"I've been married for 25 years, I say that once a month to my husband 😂," another joked.
John and Emily have been married since 2010 and share two daughters, Hazel, nine, and Violet, seven.
The pair have captured the hearts of fans thanks to their clear love of each other, with Emily saying of her husband in 2013, "Meeting John really changed my life."
"When I feel the support that I have from him, I feel invincible. There's someone behind you on your good days and someone in front of you on your bad days," she told InStyle.

John is similarly smitten, telling The Daily Beast in 2016, "I was never the coolest kid on the block, so I never had the “good ol’ days: of a playboy type of lifestyle."
"So for me, the best days of my life started when I met my wife - that’s the truth, it’s not just me saying it because it sounds nice on a card. She’s one of the coolest people, she’s so talented, she’s beautiful, and she’s certainly out of my league. And so all of a sudden all of the things I loved, I got to find someone who loved that about me."
