Wednesday: Get a First Look at a ‘Bigger and More Twisted’ Season 2
Hear those finger snaps? Yep, Season 2 of Wednesday is on the way.
Netflix released a first look at the new season of its hit Addams Family offshoot as part of its Geeked Week event on Thursday. In the behind-the-scenes video — which you can watch above — we see quick snippets of Season 2 being filmed, with Jenna Ortega’s Wednesday Addams brandishing a knife and saying, “Let’s play dolls.”

Catherine Zeta-Jones, who plays Wednesday’s mother Morticia Addams, promises that “Season 2 is going to be bigger and more twisted than you can ever imagine.” And don’t feel bad that you only get to see bits and pieces: “If we showed you any more, your eyes would bleed,” Ortega warns in a perfect Wednesday deadpan. “And I’m not that generous.”
Season 2 of Wednesday is set to premiere on Netflix next year, sans two cast members. Percy Hynes White (who played Xavier Thorpe) and Naomi J. Ogawa (who played Yoko Tanaka), both series regulars in Season 1, will not return for Season 2. Ortega has already revealed that Season 2 is ditching the love triangle between Hynes White’s Xavier and Hunter Doohan’s Tyler Galpin in order to “lean into the horror aspect of the show a little bit more.”
