Want tickets to Beyoncé's 'Cowboy Carter' tour? Ticketmaster warns fans of scams
Ahead of Beyoncé's recently announced Cowboy Carter Tour, Ticketmaster is warning fans of potential ticket scams. No tickets for the highly anticipated tour have been sold, announced the ticketing giant on Monday, adding that any ticket listings offered elsewhere were illegitimate.
"These are scammers trying to sell you fake tickets," said Ticketmaster on social media. The first tickets for the Cowboy Carter Tour will go on sale Feb. 11.
According to Ticketmaster's blog, speculative listing is when unofficial sellers list tickets for sale without actually having tickets — betting that they will be able to get tickets and then resell them to fans. The practice is considered fraud and is illegal in many states.
Do not trust anyone trying to sell you tickets before they go on sale beginning Tuesday, 2/11. These are scammers trying to sell you fake tickets.

"Speculative ticketing forces real fans to compete against resellers who are acquiring tickets to fulfill the speculations they made," read the blog. "These resellers are actually preventing fans from getting tickets through a legitimate source like Ticketmaster."
Fans react to Ticketmaster warning amid lawsuits, controversy
Fans responded to Ticketmaster's warning with ire following complaints of sky-rocket high ticket prices and a lawsuit from the Department of Justice.
"Are YOU going to fix the RIDICULOUS dynamic pricing to make the experience like other countries??" responded one X user.
"And how do we not get scammed from you?" asked another.
The Department of Justice sued Live Nation Entertainment and its subsidiary Ticketmaster in May 2024, alleging that the company has a monopoly in the live concert industry and that it harms fans, innovation, artists and venues.
