Why are cocktails more fun to drink in pretty glassware explicitly designed for them? And is there any other cocktail glass more iconic than the martini glass? With its sleek, slim stem and large conical cup, the instantly recognizable barware holds some of our favorite drinks: dirty martinis, cosmopolitans, espresso martinis, and lemon drops.

When crafting these cocktails at home, having the same glassware you’d get at your favorite bar is fun. But it doesn’t mean you have to spend much money on martini glasses, even if they have a gold rim, giving them a little extra bling.

You could pay a hefty price for glassware from stores such as Williams Sonoma; more than a single martini made with top-shelf gin might cost you. Or, you could buy a similar glass that looks just as expensive at a store such as Walmart.

If you’re looking for glassware to serve your summer cocktails in style—such as a watermelon martini made with fresh muddled watermelon—you’ll want to take advantage of this deal.

Walmart’s Thyme & Table Gold Rim Martini Glasses

Williams Sonoma has 8.25-ounce 24-carrot gold-rim martini glasses, sold in sets of 4 for $79.95, made from clear lead-free glass. Yes, they’re pretty and perfect for sipping any martini. But at $20 a glass, they’re not wallet-friendly, especially considering that glassware breaks easily. And if you think about it, the more expensive glassware is, the more delicate it often is.

Enter Thyme & Table's 7-ounce gold-rim martini glass, exclusive to Walmart, for just $5.46 each. It looks similar to the Williams Sonoma version and has excellent reviews. Walmart shoppers say it’s "elegant," a "big hit" at cocktail parties, and "helps elevate your at-home bar experience."

The Walmart version holds slightly less liquid than the Williams Sonoma version, but it still holds a full-size cocktail and might be easier to manage. The gold rim means both versions are hand-wash only. Plus, there’s a lot you can do with these glasses besides cocktails—think shrimp cocktail, lemon mousse with berries, or an impressive-looking affogato.

Whichever option you choose, these glasses add elegance to whatever they’re holding. The only question is, how much do you want to spend (or save!) for that elegance?
