Victoria Beckham's thinly-veiled swipe in rare post

Victoria and David Beckham have celebrated 23 years of marriage, and the couple took a look at their most iconic moments through the years.

The fashion designer took a cheeky swipe when penning her tribute to her footballer husband, referring to the criticism they've had to shoulder over the years.

“They say he isn’t funny, they say I never smile, they said it wouldn’t last,” she captioned a photo of the pair smiling. “Today we celebrate 23 years being married. David you are my everything, I love you so much!!!!”

David, 47, poked fun at some of the couple’s fashion choices over the years, including their ‘serious’ purple outfit and the time they donned matching leather pieces.

The footballer also shared a video from the late ‘90s, when Sasha Baron Cohen was interviewing the couple as Ali G.

Revealing that they met at a football match, David admitted he wasn’t a Spice Girls fan, but he was ‘into Posh’.

Captioning the clip, he wrote: “23 years ago today Posh became Mrs Beckham, but she will always be Posh. Happy Anniversary WOW 23 years & 4 beautiful kiddies. I love you, we all love you.”

The famous couple is currently in Paris celebrating, which is a very special place for them both.

“We love Paris. Every time we have something to celebrate we are here,” David wrote on his Instagram story.

“Special day today celebrating in our happy place!” added Victoria, with footage of a red heart balloon flying through the air.

Their children also wished them both well, with Romeo Beckham writing: “Happy anniversary to the best parents in the world, I love you so much.”

“Happy anniversary, love you guys,” added their other son Cruz Beckham.
