Vanessa Bryant Shares Bittersweet Memory of Life With Kobe in the Palisades Amid Fire Devastation

Vanessa Bryant is remembering her and her late husband Kobe Bryant's life in the Palisades amid the devastating California wildfires ravaging the area and other parts of Southern California.

"Kob and I used to live in the Palisades when we first got married (sadly, that home was on the street where the initial fire started 💔)," Vanessa, 42, captioned a carousel of photos and videos via Instagram on Tuesday, Jan. 14. "We have so many beautiful memories from living in L.A."

She continued, "There are no words to make all the loss and devastation any better. My heart and prayers go out to everyone in LA who are affected by the fires. Our @mambamambacitasports is currently working to help the L.A. community. We love you, L.A. #LASTRONG #We❤️LA ! We Love you @baby2baby!"

Followers were quick to applaud Vanessa in the comments, with fans thanking her and the Mamba & Mambacita Sports Foundation—which was founded to further Kobe and their daughter Gia's legacies—for volunteering their efforts during the fires.

The LA Lakers star and their 13-year-old daughter were two of nine people who died in a helicopter crash in January 2020. He was 41.)

A third social media user added, "Thank you so much V," while Kris Jenner left a series of heart emojis in the comments.

As of Jan. 15, the Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire and other fires raging across Southern California have scorched more than 12,000 homes, buildings and other structures, burned more than 40,000 acres and displaced tens of thousands of residents. At least 25 people are dead, according to CBS News.
