Valerie Bertinelli joins “The Drew Barrymore Show ”as lifestyle expert for season 5
The actress and Food Network alum has joined the Drew Crew ahead of the talk show's season 5 premiere on Sept. 9.
Now this is a recipe for success: actress and Food Network alum Valerie Bertinelli is joining season 5 of The Drew Barrymore Show as a lifestyle expert.
The One Day at a Time actress is the latest star to join the talk show's beloved Drew Crew, a team of Drew Barrymore’s closest pals who all share unique tips and takeaways about a specific field of interest each episode. Its current roster includes Drew’s News co-anchor Ross Mathews, celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton, interior designer Mikel Welch, chef Pilar Valdes, fashion and beauty guru Zanna Roberts Rassi, sustainable living expert Danny Seo and, now, Bertinelli.
Photos from the show's forthcoming season, which premieres on Sept. 9, show Bertinelli sitting with Barrymore and Mathews at the Drew’s News desk and smiling with the pair. In the latter image, Barrymore can be spotted holding Bertinelli’s latest cookbook, Indulge: Delicious and Decadent Dishes to Enjoy and Share.

Bertinelli served as a host on several Food Network programs over the years, most notably her own series Valerie's Home Cooking from 2015 to 2023. Her other credits include shows like Food Network Star, Family Food Showdown, Family Restaurant Rivals, and Kids Baking Championship. In addition to her television work, she has also penned multiple cookbooks over years, including Indulge, One Dish at a Time, and Valerie's Home Cooking.
The author told PEOPLE that she was "super excited" to become the latest member of the Drew Crew. “I absolutely adore her," Bertinelli said of Barrymore. "And all the people that work there are so flippin' cool."
In addition to its growing Drew Crew, The Drew Barrymore Show will also feature a new segment called “Wellsdays,” where Drew will discuss health and wellness ailments that affect us all. It joins fan-favorite segments like Drew-Gooders, which spotlights people making a difference within their community, as well as the aesthetically-pleasing Design by Drew and the shopping-focused The Weekender.

Bertinelli is just one of many stars who will be gracing The Drew Barrymore Show stage when the show returns for its fifth season next week. Other entertainers set to stop by include Demi Moore, Chris Hemsworth, Zoë Kravitz, David Beckham, Stephen Colbert, Tony Danza, Aubrey Plaza, James McAvoy, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kate McKinnon, Brooke Shields, and Riley Keough.
Season 5 of The Drew Barrymore Show premieres on Sept. 9.
