Usher Bringing His Beloved Pastime to Vegas with New Flipper's World Roller Skating Residency at The Venetian (Exclusive)

Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace is headed to Sin City for a residency at The Venetian Resort, opening in November with the help of partner Usher

Usher is on a roll and now he's helping bring roller skating to Las Vegas.

Months after the Grammy-winning R&B star, 45, showed off his favorite pastime for the world to see on the Super Bowl LVIII stage in February, now Flipper's World, the skating experience brand and company he's a partnered with is about to get its own time to shine in Sin City.

Flipper's Roller Boogie Palace, a full-service roller skating venue is heading to The Venetian Resort Las Vegas in November, taking over Tao Beach Day Club for a months-long winter residency to run into 2025.

“We are thrilled to join forces with The Venetian Resort and Tao Group Hospitality as we take our proven experiential concept to Las Vegas for our first-ever Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace winter residency,” says Flipper’s World CEO Eddie Bromberg and President Ariel Elazar Storch in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

Tao Beach's 47,000 square feet will soon be sand-free and will feature a 3,250 square foot skating rink covering the venue’s two pools. On it, roller skating will take place Thursday through Sunday from noon to 9 p.m, open to all ages, with special programming planned for those 21 and up.

The brand's statement continues, “Flipper’s is known for creating inclusive spaces in sync with our vibrant community and curated line-up of top artists and DJs that bring the joy of roller skating alive - whether you are on skates, in sneakers, or just along for the party.”

Co-founded by model Liberty Ross and Kevin Wall in partnership with Usher, Flipper's World is described as "a global lifestyle brand rooted in the joy of roller skating that creates skate-inspired apparel and immersive experiences across the world through its Flipper’s Roller Boogie Palace banner." The flagship venue is in London, though one-off events are hosted often throughout the states.

The brand's star-studded pop-ups have included Usher's Super Bowl afterparty in partnership with Gin & Juice by Dre and Snoop, who performed for skaters just before Usher was spotted partying with wife Jen Goicoechea hours after they'd secretly tied the knot.

"No matter the city, if there's a skating rink nearby, I'm there," the star has said of his love of roller skating, one of his favorite things to do as a teen growing up in Atlanta. These days he makes it a point to feature skate culture in all of his shows.
