Yahoo Lifestyle 'Twin Peaks' Actress Looks Nearly Unrecognizable in New Sighting
One of the actresses who starred in Twin Peaks was recently spotted out in public, though those familiar with her work likely wouldn’t have recognized her if they had passed her on the street.
The 1990s star who was sighted in Los Angeles, Calif., earlier this week was Sherilyn Fenn, an actress who, in her mid-20s, played Audrey Horne on the television series that blended elements of mystery, drama, crime and horror over the course of its two seasons in 1990 and 1991. Fenn, now 59, reprised the role when Showtime briefly brought the series back in 2017.

Fenn was photographed on Wednesday, Dec. 4, while walking in a neighborhood in Los Angeles. Photos obtained by The Sun and published on Thursday, Dec. 5, showed Fenn pressing her hands together while looking in the direction of the camera. She wore a loose-fit white tank top and baggy light-wash denim patchwork jeans. She appeared to be outside for the purpose of retrieving mail from a black mailbox that was attached to a black gate. Fenn, who wore socks but no shoes, was photographed with her hands lifted up near the mailbox, though it was unclear if she retrieved any items from inside.
Fenn, who became widely known for her striking looks while starring on Twin Peaks, was nearly unrecognizable in the photos. Her dark hair had been traded for purple locks in the images, and she had it pulled up on the back of her head in a high ponytail. She topped off the casual look with dark lipstick, and could be seen wearing a thin necklace that caught the light in one of the snapshots.
Though perhaps best known for her Twin Peaks character, Fenn also appeared in Gilmore Girls, first as a one-off character for a Season 3 episode and later as a completely different and controversial character in the sixth and seventh seasons. Fenn has also acted in movies, with her early credits including 1987’s Zombie High, 1990’s Wild at Heart, 1992’s Of Mice and Men and 1993’s Boxing Helena, among others.
