TVLine Readers’ 2025 Wish List for Stranger Things, The Rookie, 9-1-1, Psych, The Bear, Wednesday and More
Psst, Santa! Any chance you’ve got a surprise NCIS: Hawai’i renewal somewhere in that bag of yours?
Earlier this month, we asked TVLine readers to share what’s on their TV wish lists for 2025 — and the 11th-hour rescues of both CBS’ cancelled procedural and ABC’s dearly departed Station 19 were easily the most popular requests. Oh, how we wish we could influence the people who make such decisions.

In the list below, though, we’ve highlighted 15 other small-screen wishes that stood out to us, including pleas related to Stranger Things’ upcoming final season, a potential fourth Psych movie, The Rookie‘s yet-to-reunite #Chenford and a particular NCIS plot point, to name a few. Plus, Santa’s elves ought to get working on the reconciliation of a certain 9-1-1 couple, which was a wish atop many lists this year.

Karen’s Wish:
“I wish more than anything to see Buck and Tommy back together on ABC’s 9-1-1! Their groundbreaking romance this year has been transformative for Buck’s series-long quest for love, and I would be so grateful to see Tommy truly happy, as well. Reintroducing him from Season 2 has been wonderful, and I’ve loved how they expanded on his character since it would be a shame to waste that potential.”
Rachel’s Wish:
“I just want Daredevil: Born Again to be as good as Daredevil was on Netflix. We’ve waited so long, if it’s bad, I might cry. Like, actually.”
Laura’s Wish:
“I wish that the final season of Stranger Things is just as incredible and satisfying as the series has been so far. And the big ask: They don’t kill off Steve Harrington.”
Jason’s Wish:
“My wish for 2025 is that Disney+ eases up on Star Wars and Marvel content and gives us more Disney content. It seems rather strange that a streaming service with the Disney name is churning out content for all the stuff it bought. I say this as I eagerly await the fifth season of Phineas and Ferb, the third season of Proud Family: Louder and Prouder, and the previously announced Tiana: The Series.”
Mark’s Wish:
“Three words: Blue Bloods prequel.”
Shelby’s Wish:
“On Chicago Fire, whatever the reveal of Chief Pascal’s Miami incident is, that it’s good and not a huge letdown like so many previous teasers have been.”
Jim’s Wish:
“For The Bear to be declared a drama by the people who give out awards.”
Bonnie’s Wish:
“All I want for 2025 is to see the super-talented Kelly Monaco back on my screen, whether it’s on General Hospital or another soap. I just need my No. 1 daytime diva back on TV already!”
Jim’s Wish:
“I wish for a satisfying conclusion and sendoff for Cobra Kai.”
Natalie’s Wish:
“My wish for 2025 is that we finally get to see McGee’s twins on NCIS.”
Christina’s Wish:
“The only thing I want from TV this year is Tim and Lucy (#Chenford) from The Rookie back together. It should not have affected me as badly as it did. It would heal me.”
Gretchen’s Wish:
“I wish that Somebody Somewhere wins all the awards, and either HBO or some other network/streaming service comes to their senses and renews the thing. I haven’t been this upset about a cancellation since Alias!”
Esaul’s Wish:
“I’d love for another Psych movie. I miss these guys a lot.”
Ellie’s Wish:
“I wish that Netflix would release Wednesday near Halloween. It was so great having the seasonal feels of Agatha All Along this year, and it just doesn’t belong in spring or summer. And, obviously, I wish that Season 2 will be fantastic.”
Jill’s Wish:
“My TV wish list for 2025 is a Season 5 of Wynonna Earp! Vengeance was amazing, Tales From Purgatory was incredible, but Emily Andras needs room to breathe a full one-season story arc for these characters and maybe address some threads left from Season 4 that weren’t able to be pulled in Vengeance.”
