TVLine Items: Winslet’s Hit-and-Run Mystery, Hacks Gets Bigger and More
Kate Winslet is returning to the murder mystery game — and this time, she’s on the suspect list.
The Academy Award winner will star in and executive-produce Hulu’s The Spot, which has a straight-to-series order, according to Deadline. The series follows a successful surgeon (played by Winslet) and her husband as they come to suspect that the former may be responsible for a child’s hit-and-run death.

Winslet most recently led the HBO limited series The Regime, which wrapped its six-episode run on Aug. 6. Her previous TV credits include the title roles in 2021’s Mare of Easttown and 2011’s Mildred Pierce, both of which earned her a Primetime Emmy Award.

* Hacks co-creators Lucia Aniello, Paul W. Downs and Jen Statsky told our sister site Variety that Season 4 will span a full 10 episodes, for the first time since Season 1. After seasons of eight and nine episodes, “[We’re] feeling like there’s just so much to say and do,” Aniello explained.
* Kim Soohyun (Queen of Tears, It’s Okay Not to Be Okay) has joined Cho Boah (Tale of the Nine-Tailed) in Knock-Off, a new K-drama coming to Disney+ in 2025. Kim stars as a man who, in the wake of the ’97 Asian financial crisis, is drawn into the counterfeit goods trade.
* Paramount+ has released the cold open to Colin From Accounts Season 2, which drops Stateside on Thursday, Sept. 26:
