Tom Schwartz Jokes Tom Sandoval Belongs on 'Dancing with the Fallen Stars' After He Starts Taking Ballroom Lessons
Sandoval admitted that he "took ballroom lessons" in hopes of competing on the ABC dance competition show one day
Tom Sandoval was ready to put on his dancing shoes before Scandoval unfolded.
On Tuesday’s episode of the Vanderpump Rules: After Show, the Schwartz & Sandy's co-owner, 41, admitted that taking part in the ABC dance competition was always “a dream of mine.”
“I actually took ballroom lessons and everything,” he shared. “I was working on the like, ninja sword, signed by Randy Jackson for years and like getting on Dancing with the Stars for years.”
His pal Tom Schwartz then jokingly suggested he might be fit for a different series, saying, “What about Dancing with the Fallen Stars?”
As fans may recall, his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Madix, joined Dancing with the Stars after his headline-making cheating scandal with Rachel “Raquel” Leviss.
Ariana, 38, explained on the after show why she chose to keep her casting a secret from her friends and costars, saying, “I didn't tell anybody. But I did tell Logan [Cochran] and I obviously my team, who was working on it, you know, they all knew.”
“When that rumor came out like nothing had been signed, it was maybe going to happen, but it wasn’t official and it wasn't confirmed,” she continued. “And there was a big fear that that coming out was going to deter them… that rumor — I don’t know where it came from — but that could possibly lose it for me. And I have since spoken to the head producer and she was like, ‘I'm so glad that you didn't tell people because like we would have been pissed’ and Scheana [Shay] is a public figure and this is also during a time where we're being followed everywhere all the time.”
She noted that by the time her boyfriend Daniel Wai told Scheana, the announcement was “official.”
“It was official so like, it's OK if people find out at that point, but that time frame in between like, us working on it, that rumor coming out and it being official was like a very f---ing freaky time because it was one of those things where like this cannot get out because we've already been on thin ice,” she added.
Scheana, 38, explained she was hurt that she didn’t hear about the casting from Ariana directly.
“This was a show I started watching in college. I always loved it,” she shared of Dancing with the Stars. “I went as an audience member with friends who had been on it from the very early seasons. And I was like, 'Wow, one day if I’m ever a star,' as they call it on the show, I’m not calling myself that. Easy. But, I’m like, 'How fun would that be?' And anyone who knows me, I think, knows this is something I’ve wanted to do for a really long time.”
“And it wasn’t that I wasn’t happy for her, I was very happy for her,” she added. “I wasn’t happy how I found out about it. I would have rather heard from her. And when I first heard the rumor about it, I called her and was like, wait, is this a thing? And she’s like, no. I mean they’re pitching me for it but nothing is happening yet. But, it’s such a 'f--- you' to Tom because he always wanted to do that show, too.”
