Toby Keith's Daughter Shares Poignant Birthday Post for Late Dad

Krystal Keith is honoring her father Toby Keith on what would have been the beloved country singer's 63rd birthday.

On Monday, July 8, Krystal, 48, took to Instagram to send a touching message to her late dad, who died in February following a battle with stomach cancer.

Sharing a joyful photo of Toby from a baseball game, where he was holding up a sign that said "Keep Smiling," Krystal wrote in her post, "Happy Birthday to our Popster."

"We miss him like crazy," she continued, adding that her dad is "Playin' it sweet in heaven today."

Krystal's younger brother, Stelen Keith Covel, also shared a social media post in honor of his dad's birthday, writing in his own Instagram post, "My old man's that old man 🤍."

"Happy birthday dad, love you," Stelen, 27, added in the post, alongside a smiling photo from his wedding day on November 2021, where Toby was seen helping him straighten out his bowtie before his bride, Haley Covel, walked down the aisle.

"Heart to heart ❤️," Krystal commented on the post.

Toby welcomed both Krystal and Stelen with longtime wife Tricia Lucus. The "Red Solo Cup" crooner also adopted Tricia's first daughter, Shelley, following their wedding in 1984.

Shelley, 44, is known for leading a more private life, though she did make a rare appearance with both of her siblings at the 2024 CMT Music Awards just two months after Toby's death, where their dad was honored in a special heartfelt tribute for his prolific career in country music.

The following month, the "Should've Been a Cowboy" artist received an honorary degree from the University of Oklahoma, which Krystal accepted on his behalf.
