Yahoo Lifestyle Tim Robbins, 66, Is Unrecognizable During Recent Sighting in Los Angeles
Tim Robbins, the actor best known for his starring role alongside Morgan Freeman in the crime thriller The Shawshank Redemption, looked practically unrecognizable during a recent public outing.
Robbins has been spotted at a handful of press events this year, including one special screening of the hit 1994 film held back in April during the 2024 TCM Classic Film Festival. But the most recent sighting of the Academy Award-winning actor marked a style departure for Robbins, who turned 66 in mid-October.

New photos, obtained by The Daily Mail and published on Friday, Dec. 13, showed the Jacob’s Ladder star that same day as he made his way through the Los Angeles International Airport in Los Angeles, Calif. It wasn’t immediately clear whether Robbins was leaving the city or just arriving, though he was seen wheeling luggage beside him.
Robbins was dressed for the outing in dark pants, a black shirt and a dark gray coat. The most noticeable difference about Robbins was his white hair, which had grown a bit longer than the style he is usually seen sporting, and his short white beard. He completed his look with a pair of dark-rimmed glasses and wore a serious expression as he made his way around the airport.
Robbins, who won his Oscar in the Best Supporting Actor category for his role in 2003’s Mystic River, put a clean-cut look on display in the spring while at the 2024 TCM Classic Film Festival, with no beard in sight. However, he was seen with facial hair while at a recent promotional event for Silo, a show he stars in alongside Rebecca Ferguson, Rashida Jones and David Oyelowo, among others. The Top Gun actor showed off the bearded look while attending the show’s Season 2 world premiere in late October in London, England.
